Project Manager - Electrical

We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager who possesses significant experience in electrical engineering to work on behalf of our client, a global oil & gas engineering contractor based in Surrey. 

Previous electrical engineering & project management experience within the oil & gas sector is essential for this position. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of the major electrical packages for a significant 'normally unattended' greenfield facility. The project also comprises brownfield aspects requiring interface engagement. The successful candidate will be the focal point between the project management teams, procurement and engineering teams. The main packages include Synchronous Condensers, CLRs and main Electrical equipment such as 110kV switchgear, transformers, switchgear, VSD etc.

The successful candidate will be looking across those major packages to drive the multi-functional delivery of the RFQ process, including integrating with the construction team on ROS dates, build sequence etc and facilitating stakeholder buy in. They will be supporting the engineering disciplines with a broad understanding of the scope,.

Skills/experience required:

• Solid engineering background to facilitate technical issues resolution and shall have prior experience of working with major equipment suppliers, in roles of package engineer or package manager.
• Experience of ICSS design will also be an advantage.
• Building strong working relationships with Client and prospective suppliers will be critical.

Job Details:

Contract role - c. 12 months+ duration

Location: Surrey

Working hours: 40 hrs per week/5 days.  2 days per week remote working is possible.

Rate: c.£70 p/h
