Role Description

Offshore Methods Lead Engineer required to work on behalf of our client, a leading oil & gas design, engineering & construction contractor based in London.  The successful candidate will join their existing team working on a new project based in the North East of England. 

Candidates must be experienced in landfall operations relating to the installation of rigid pipelines.

Reporting to the Project Operations Manager the successful candidate will ensure that all landfall preparations meet requirements of the project and support the operations execution. Ensure efficient, safe and timely execution of 3rd party activities with respect to the project schedule. Interface with client and ensure client requirements are maintained.

Tasks to include:

Report to a Project Operations Manager on the project.

- Co-ordinate mobilisation, engineering and operational activities and ensure deliverables are produced in line with project HSE and installation requirements. Coordination shall ensure efficient and timely execution of activities with respect to the installation campaign schedule.

- Take responsibility for the scope of work. Responsibility includes up to and including final issue of the relevant documents, including drawings, for the scope of work.

- Manage the performance of the subcontracted work scope.

- Participate to the risk management process to ensure operational risks are to the ALARP principle.

- Participate to ensure the onsite and offshore operations are performed according to the agreed procedures.

Experience Required:

- Managing Landfall subcontractors

- Experience of mobilisation of landfall operations.

- Experience of shore-pull and wire lay activities.
