Role Description
Planning Engineer required for long term contract role, working on behalf of our client, a global leader in offshore oil & gas and offshore wind engineering. We are ideally looking for candidates with 5-10 years experience in planning within the offshore oil & gas industry, preferably with experience in the offshore wind sector.
Job Description:
The Planning Engineer will ensure the development of the Project Schedule, especially for tenders as part of our client's offshore wind business.
Duties to include:
- Ensure the development of the Project Schedule according to contractual requirements and internal standards, verifying its feasibility and highlighting any criticalities
- Implement the Planning and Progress Control System
- Ensure any deviation from the plan is promptly spotted and analysed
- Create a schedule awareness atmosphere amongst all project participants
- Create and maintain the 90 days look-ahead schedule, weekly schedule, and monthly schedule
- Assist the Project Control Manager in the preparation of the Project Status Report
- Support the Project during contract amendments/claims and provide the time impact analysis
- Participate in risk management activities including schedule risk analysis
Skills/qualifications required:
HNC, HND or degree level qualification in a relevant discipline.
5-10 years+ in planning activities within the offshore ooil & gas industry, preferably in offshore wind.
Technical skills: planning for tendering projects phases, T&I, EPCI project experience advantageous.
IT skills: Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project

Location: SW London. 2 days per week remote working is possible.
Rate: c. £60-65 p/h Ltd
Contract duration: c. 1 year.
