Role Description
Instrument Designer required for ongoing contract role, working for a leading oil & gas design and engineering contractor based in Surrey.
Candidates should have at least 5 years recent and relevant experience within the oil & gas sector.
This role involves preparing various Instrumentation and Telecommunication engineering deliverables, such as block diagrams, location layouts, cable routing layouts, material takeoff, bill of materials, control room, and rack room layouts.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Proficient in 3D drafting software packages, specifically S3D.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, such as Electrical and Piping, to provide instrumentation and telecom inputs.
- Ensure the quality of work within the group and supervise the Designer(s) reporting to you.
- Adhere to company and project standards, procedures, and specifications.
- Experience in coordinating with high-value Engineering Centres.
- 3D modelling experience and the ability to extract drawings from 3D models are advantageous.
