Principal Electrical Engineer (Onshore)

We are currently recruiting for a Principal Electrical Engineer for an initial 12 month contract role, working on behalf of our client an Onshore Project.

Principal Electrical Engineer with demonstrable experience of designing electrical systems for voltages up to 132kV including overhead lines, reactive power compensation etc for various energy transition projects in FEED and / or EPC.

The role:

• The work is for brownfield modifications associated with the tie-in of a grid connection to an existing power system in FEED stage. 
• The work will include development of SLDs / load lists, sizing HV equipment,  UPS systems, development of philosophies, specifications and datasheets.
• You will be working as part of a team supporting the lead engineer.

Requirements;

• Experience of designs for 132kV electrical distribution systems, interfacing with grid company, protection requirements and brownfield modifications. 
• Knowledge should include BP Standards and Grid Code requirements.

Start date: ASAP

Contract duration: c.12 months

Rate: £65 p/h

Working hours: Average 40 hrs per week.  2 days per week remote working is possible. 

Location: Surrey
